[Luqman 31:17]
O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination.
“Travel and tell no one, live a true love story and tell no one, live happily and tell no one, people ruin beautiful things.”— Khalil Gibran
Cats always step in their own footprints. Cats are capable of walking very precisely because, like all felines, they directly register; that is, they place each hind paw (almost) directly in the print of the corresponding fore paw, minimizing noise and visible tracks. This also provides sure footing for their hind paws when they navigate rough terrain.
Wallahi, it will feel like you’re drowning and no matter how hard you fight to reach for air, you will always get pulled back. You will feel like there is no way out and it will hurt..
But, remember Prophet Yunus عليه السلام while he stood in the belly of the whale, remember Prophet Yusuf عليه السلام while he laid in prison for years, remember the iman of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام when Allah commanded him to sacrifice his only son, but most of all, remember the faith of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم when he endured a life of trials and hardship.
If the Prophets (may Allah bless them all) went through their lives of trial and hardship, who are we? Who are we to even complain? When it gets unbearbable, and it will, remember Allah has created trials and hardships only for us to turn back to Him.
Wallahi, oh Slave of Allah,
It will be hard, but remember,“For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease,
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.” {94:5-6}
What is with Allah is better for you, if you only knew.
— Sūrat an-Nahl 16:95
Don’t be envious of someone’s joy. It might be their first time to breathe out after their lungs were drenched in sorrow for too long.
